All we wanted to know, was who made the stuff that we used everyday. We started shopping at local stores in town, and thought we were on the right track.
When we moved halfway across the country, we started shopping at new stores local to our new home. To our surprise… they carried the same products. After a little digging we come to find out that the stores might be local, but the products are anything but. Many of the items are made overseas where health standards, worker’s rights, and quality materials are not valued. All we wanted was to know where our “stuff” came from. And it started to become an impossible chore.
If we couldn’t know who made our things… then we figured that we’d just make the things ourselves.
We started making, then we started finding local materials to use, then we started meeting other people who made things. Now we sell it all so that you don’t have to worry about where your stuff comes from. Everything on our site is made one at a time here in the USA. Most of it is made in Wisconsin. Either by ourselves, or by local craftsmen and artists.
We want things that can help us live a full, well-balanced life.
Things that can be used, loved, and passed down. Things that are timeless. That are made from straight forward materials that won't wear out. Things that will be useful after we're long gone. Things loved for so long that they become your family's artifacts.
